Race in St. Louis provided yet another strong performance by Brad Sweet and the No. 90 Stringer Motorsports Great Clips Racing team
On Friday, Sweet laid down his qualifying effort in 20th place. With extremely difficult weather conditions with a heat index over 100, and taking the green flag a little over 16 hours late following a power outage at the track, Sweet maintained a strong run within the top-15 for the majority of the event. With help from Crew Chief Trip Bruce and his Nationwide Series pit crew, Sweet found himself after a caution, restarting the green flag in 11th place half way through the race. However, with slick tires and no grip after the restart, Sweet found himself within only a few laps quickly falling back to 17th place. Although Sweet had never even seen the Gateway track before Thursday's practice, he finished in a solid 16th place at the end of the day. |
